Valentine's date
Feb. 14th, 2020 08:04 pmThere were some downsides to dating someone who was cynical about romance, on various levels. Valentine's Day was one of them. It wasn't that angels particularly celebrated this holiday, but more that Dorian appeared to be so adamantly hateful of it. She had only brought it up once and then let it go in discussion. However, in the back of her mind she was plotting. It took time, asking around among the humans in the Nexus, and walking among shops and establishments to find what would be perfect, at least for the start of an evening.
She had warned him to get dressed hours earlier because she was coming by but hadn't exactly told him they were going out for a date, just that she was bored and wanted to do something. A little manipulation to keep his complaining to a minimum, just in case, was worth it. Besides, she liked small surprises and this would be a romantic one that he would like, hopefully.
It was early evening when she showed up in a rather racy cocktail dress. The butler, at least that was the best description of the being always at the door, showed her upstairs to where ever it was he was waiting for her.
